Today, I was reminded of the movie 'The Death of Stalin", a biting satire about what happens when the Dear Leader suddenly dies and those who propped him up jockey for position, power, and control of the pomp and circumstances. Our so-called leader may not be dead, but the parallels are there.

I don't think I need to add anything.

This morning, a certain television commentator said that Trump was spewing "facts that aren't true." Well, how about calling it like it is!?! A fact that isn't true is a lie.

Mourning the loss of our democratic mores while fighting like hell to protect them.

When is a hairdo a political statement? When I was offered the choice of a haircut that would encourage my hair to flip, my first thought was "great, it both expresses my reactions to the chaos instigated by the current regime on the hill, and frees my hands for the fight."

Nope. Not a mandate. Nor do we have to wait four years to voice our discontent. Mid-yerm elections, folks, are two years away and can flip the Congress.

Scrolling through, reading posts from the now opposition. Gaining strength from people speaking out. It is a long road we now must travel to hold on to our democracy, uphold human rights, and ensure body autonomy.
