Having a successful Chicago marathon is a huge act of resistence. This is fantastic event to showcase just how much the city is lying about what is happening here. 53,000 runners + all the spectators spanning diverse neighborhoods from north to south to west proving we aren't a war zone.

Chicago marathon race map - Northern most street Sheriden between Lake Shore Dr & Broadway. Western most street is Damen between Adams & Jackson. Southern most is 35th between Michigan & Indiana.

lol the funny thing is that Chicago's lake effect is SO DIFFERENT than Michigan's lake effect and Buffalo & Rochester, NY lake effect.
Ours is so cutesy - "our temps are 2 degrees cooler by the lake"
Everywhere else is like the Elmo fire gif but snow instead. 🤣

This is a theme we keep repeating too. Until you see it for yourself, I think it’s hard to really understand how completely unnecessary and disproportionately violent the federal response has been.

How much is for fun, terror, or social media, I don’t know. A mix of the three for sure.

I've never seen such escalation and use of force toward ends I just could not see. There was no real property destruction, no pushing into the neighborhoods to make arrests, very little obstructing of traffic. Saw chemicals and bangs deployed down streets the feds were not facing and did not travel.
