turtle was an incredibly picky eater and didn’t take to milk at first. i started mixing it w/those kids yogurt drinks or nutrition shakes. i also diluted juice with water for 4 years.

i also always had a baggie of cheerios or puffs on me during toddlerhood. sometimes a lil snack is a nice and necessary distraction.

this can be so stressful! it helped me to look at it in 2-3 day cycles of nutrients, rather than a 24 hr period. and at that age i shared most everything i ate. tiny bites of everything introduced them to different flavors/textures.

not to mention how low the income cut off is. in the early 2000s i got a 50¢ raise, to $12/hr, and lost the daycare assistance & medicaid for my infant. there were three of us. it needs more funding, not less.

the worst! if it helps, it either happens with daycare or it happens with starting school. and at least at this age he isn’t missing important learning days.

mine are 21, 17, & 12 and i still sometimes feel like i’m missing out by working. i think a lot of the time, feeling failure as a mother just means that you’re a good mom.
