Adding to this, it seems it doesn’t tend to start till after thanksgiving regardless of the weather, so I’m feeling like it’s a Christmas thing, according to social norms…

But I also feel like it just has the vibes of a winter thing to me

I have no gripes whatsoever with the article itself. I was commenting on how BMJ presented it in this post.

This is presented as if the linked article was not an opinion piece. The paper may include citations for the study findings you’re describing, but it is not the original source of those findings. It’s a bit misleading.
