I hope it was Dion sneaking out to meet with Terence when they’re teenagers and getting caught. And reprimanded. The queer longing.

I’ll always subscribe to the idea that they were in love for years and could never fully embrace it due to duty.

I tried to rewatch it maybe in 2019 and couldn’t get past the first few episodes. I’ll also be resentful I made it to their finalists in a competition where they changed the rules the night of the finale because they’d not told anyone competing they’d been cancelled.

Sometimes I remember Penny Dreadful exists and how it was an awful misogynistic mess of mediocre men elevated for being sad at the expense of interesting women. I know most people disavow GoT, but Penny Dreadful did that for me. Completely unwatchable on a second viewing.

The drape on this dress makes me kind of regret putting it on because my waist vanishes in it and the coral was too overwhelming for it. But I almost didn’t leave so I guess it’s fine.

It’s the state of everything these days. Creatively, I haven’t felt like anything I do has mattered in over a year. This past year has been weird. I continue to feel irrelevant, old, uninteresting and unattractive.

I’m in a state where I don’t care about anything. I don’t even know what level of depression it is when you stop being excited about everything, trips, events. Two years ago I would have been so excited to hear this music live, and now I feel nothing at all.

I’m trying to decide what to wear tonight. I have a Rick Owen’s gown that kind of goes between being elegant and casual. But I may wear my Slavic coral necklaces tonight and the neckline is asymmetrical. I could wear my Yenn necklace, but I feel like everyone else will have that on so not so much.

I really think that’s a velvet. It’s so difficult to tell even in the film and there aren’t many high resolution photos of this costume.

Fortunately, I think her gown was actually a cotton velvet. I know they used very discounted fabrics for the costumes in La Reine Margot.

I’m covering it in blood, anyway.

I have not really bought fabric in over 5 years, and the place I used to always buy my silks from has nearly doubled their prices because they work with a factory in India. I also can’t buy any of my historical patterns b/c they’re all based in the UK or EU & won’t ship here any longer.
