While I'm here - White saviorism isn’t solidarity. It's control. It’s a performance that often does more harm than good, centering white feelings and optics. It’s a reflection of white dominance- stepping in, taking over, deciding what’s “best,” even in movements that aren’t theirs to lead.

The council is doing a damn good job... but we need more. We can't ever put all eggs in one basket. We need diversity of tactics and strength in numbers.

That said, we’ve got a DA who ran on a platform that openly supports this kind of militarized approach. Trashy, harmful, not what we needed.
