Yesterday, I had the honor of visiting "Omaha" Beach, one of the two beaches that American troops landed on D day. I also visited the American cemetery. It was an emotional experience. It was also a reminder of the immense sacrifices made by so many in the fight against facism.

Resilience. In spite of the 60 plus inches of snow Erie so far this season, this pansy plant perseveres. My New Year's wish is that our country is as resilient as this little flower. December 31, 2024.
