In the space of reasons, counting five things I can see, four things I can touch...

Whatever it was, it was phenomenal.

I did this twice and no one called me a scientist!

how many moons is this?

I hear that. I feel like my days of having strong metaphysical intuitions regarding stuff like this are basically over, but when I had them I think they went the opposite direction.

Apologies if this is a shitpost, but I'm curious: were you brought up in a tradition that had God as the creator of everything else, whose existence didn't depend on anything else existing? I feel like those are pretty common theistic beliefs, and imo they're not too far from necessary existence.

Tristan delivers a eulogy. Lennon ("lover") writes a love letter to Ama ("beloved"). Rue apologizes to Maria ("bitter").

Re: cutesy bullshit, @agholdier.bsky.social agreed to my latest scheme in a current draft we're coauthoring: using proper names whose meaning reflects the character's role/emotion, but *only* in a way that reads as natural and basically undetectable to the reader.

Anyway, highly recommend perceiving people as not being condescending if you can swing it.

Same for me too, but I also feel like I hardly ever get treated condescendingly. idk if that's due to circumstances or misperceptions or because I've ✨achieved humility✨ (unlikely!), but e.g. mansplaining is totally real and yet I don't feel like people talk to me like that.

If it's the best, why isn't it [one I formatively experienced when I was in middle school]?
