Did the author really write those sentences, in that order, without irony? Sadly, yes. No irony, and abundantly exhibiting no awareness, no understanding of a paycheck-to-paycheck life, no empathy. Shouldn't be a journalist.

CVS seems to be a terrible company. Weren't they also the first to obey in advance and pull mifepristone nationwide, even in states where it was legal and before bans were in effect in other states? Unfortunately we have a pharmacy oligopoly in the US. Pharmacies carry it in Calif., thank you CA.
