I have been a book writer, book editor, lawyer, and librarian. Bad grammar makes my heart hurt. The end of democracy makes my soul hurt.

Read banned books!
Which is why you’re selling American farmland to foreign investors right JD

Liar. Coward. Take your seat in Dante’s circle.

Starting next spring, there will be a big sign in my front yard quoting him when he said American kids aren’t good enough. He wants to be our effing governor, but he can rot in.

We know that the DHS is lying.

I object to your use of that term on the grounds that she is not that deep.

In a small Ohio town, 5 Ds won and the sixth is in a tie

Basis for that statement?

Bethel Park Public Library, south of Pittsburgh, did this in the late 1970s.

The town where my kids grew up did precisely that.

So not only is it exhausted, it is wrong.

There are studies using FMRI technology that show that (other than whether you are using your eyes or ears) your brain is experiencing stories in the same way, regardless of how they are transmitted.

That train, unfortunately, has long since left the station. Actually, those who have stood up to him have been betrayed by their employers.

My brothers took inspiration from Baylor. The older recognized that baby bro was a really bad hitter but could run like the wind. He taught him how to be hit by a pitch to get on base (big brother may have also enjoyed watching his 10 year younger sibling, getting whacked on a regular basis.)

I have seen reports that certain Walmarts actually include how to apply for benefits as part of their new employee on boarding process

I bet you’re not old enough to remember Kirk Gibson, but look up that run
November 2, 2025 at 2:00 AM
Because in the postseason he continues to have moments like his three run home run

I’m fascinated by his argument that snap recipients are largely benefits since the state with the highest rates of snap users are deep red. But then again, he has never let a fact to get in the way of his rhetoric, and no one has the balls to challenge him.

I can always tell when someone is either horrifyingly young or new to baseball. Does no one remember Don Baylor
November 2, 2025 at 1:39 AM
He knew that meant he didn’t need to run. Given how bad he looked the first time he was on base, I’m sure his brain was going hit a home run or you’re gonna die.

The only good news is that all that marble is a very significant slip risk
November 2, 2025 at 1:14 AM
Actually, it is really funny. At the baseball stadium, there is a tip option that pops up and the employees will tell you don’t tip. We don’t get any of it. Connie Schultz has written extensively about tipping and making sure that the people who are supposed to get it do get it.
