Legally he can right? The issue so many of these racists have is not that laws prevent them displaying their racism it is that society does. They are pissed that it is not socially acceptable. But regardless of who's in government that does not shift - high rw sentiment now & still a minority.

I am gonna ask a question about the obvious elephant. Why do they need to build large warehouses for human beings if the plan is to round people up & deport them quickly? This investment seems longer term so once irregular migrants & legal immigrants are gone who is going in them?

It would have been better to market it that way. The tradeoff situation is reality. Anything you can define as a freedom has an opposite which can also be defined as a freedom so it is always a balance. Meanwhile Americans are out there shouting freedom like this 🐻 youtu.be/AK4d9FNohTU?...

The problem is in his concept of freedom. If you want individual freedom over collective freedom you will resent anything which allows others to have a voice. Freedom is always constrained, a balance of one freedom against another to reach an equilibrium that favours the majority of people.

Not saying educational qualifications don't increase earning but the base level, the minimum wage for full time work should be enough to live on without access to state funds otherwise it is really not clear what the word minimum is doing there.

Below average qualifications shouldn't mean employees need UC. You would need to look at the why for large numbers of UC & there may be legitimate reasons (back to work programmes etc) but some employers abuse the system to reduce costs & same as in individuals you tax behaviours you want to curb.

Action would target employers - the existence of working poor is a failure of industry & government - if the system worked it would not happen. Whether the answer is punitive to industry (removing tax benefits over threshold etc) or focused on civic re-education & soft control it needs to change

I find the need to understand the words interesting, plenty of non-English speakers listen to & even sing along to English music. Plenty of classical music has no words at all. Music is about feeling & if language is a barrier you miss a lot of good music, like this: youtu.be/jM8dCGIm6yc?...

I find the need to understand the words interesting, plenty of non-English speakers listen to & even sing along to English music. Plenty of classical music has no words at all. Music is about feeling & if language is a barrier you miss a lot of good music, like this: youtu.be/jM8dCGIm6yc?...

Sure although since DWP overseas the benefits system I would think it is data they should collect to review trends. It is the kind of thing I would collect based on the data I look as it is a factor that can explain trends and identify targets for action

An interesting take out from that article is DWP stating that they do not collect data on the employers of claimants. Why don't they? Do they not consider that relevant? I would think to any government looking to reduce their benefits bill targeting employers of working poor would be an obvious win.

I am astonished that whoever is overseeing has no issue with her requesting a minute and instead of composing herself using that time for petty theatrics - are there not rules preventing that type of behaviour - and in front of survivors her department is failing - disgusting behaviour

They should call her on it, crass politics & whataboutism. The photo is an immigrant who came legally, committed a crime, was tried, sentenced & now being deported. The victim saw justice - the system worked. Why is her department blocking that for the survivors detailed in the Epstein files.

Yeah because the issues with housing are caused by people without children having a home. Not people with second & third homes to holiday in. Not people buying multiple properties as an investment. Nope it is the people who contribute to the cost of educating people's kids without a stake.

I've held the same opinion of Trump since I was 8 - he's the same piece of shit he's always been & I don't believe people can't see it. People who voted for him knew this they just thought he would hurt other people not them. That does gain forgiveness without significant amends.

Side note I dont support slave wages I think both agricultural workers and burger flippers should earn enough to live.

Thing I find astonishing about the desire to deport agricultural workers is that the same people will say you can't pay burger flippers a living wage because cost will get too high - what do they think the impact of removing underpaid labour is.
