Sorry to be (kind of) unhelpful! Although, I think if you insisted on a room not in the main shopping street it likely would be a lot better. If you want some coffee shops and bakeries to visit though, I definitely have some of those to suggest. 🥐

Ours was right above a student bar/union, so it was a tad loud when everyone dumped onto the street at closing time 🫠 However, it was quite comfy. @25hourshotels.bsky.social CPH

Oh, and Ho Jiak Haymarket in the Sydney CBD has a Vegemite braised short rib dish that dream of way too often.

Also in Melbourne is the original Lune 🥐, and a really good restaurant called Mjølner that I have not been to, but I hear fantastic things.

Also, excellent cocktails at the Gin Bar that is behind a barber shop… Rollers in Manly, I had an exquisite 5 hour wine lunch at Bert’s in Newport Beach, and the best savoury pastry award went to Lode bakery.

Adelaide :) But I was last in Sydney back in May 2024, so there’s a lot of good pastry spots on my radar 😍

Good pastry and coffee at Leible, Skittle Lane, A.P. Place in the CBD, and A.P. Bakery, Banksia Bakery, Bourke Street Bakery, and Cabrito coffee.

Oh delightful! It’s been a little longer since I was in Melbourne, but there was a delightful place in one of the “little” streets called Rice Paper Scissors.
