For anyone wondering why this is happening, James Gunn and Krypto (whom Gunn based on his own rescue dog) were all up in the promotion and goings on of last year's Puppy Bowl ahead of Superman as well.

It actually gets massive ratings each year. It's even more of an ad fest than the Super Bowl. Counterprogramming.
