The truth of the matter though is that shorts views is really not worth it. Shorts viewers tend to be the least invested and most fickle. They don't support creators and they don't build fanbases.

I run a tiny channel about hyper-niche topics (Tabletop Roleplaying Games) and I'm pretty sure I was disappointed that one of my shorts about Lancer got fewer than 5k views initially yeah.
