I don’t want the BBC abolished, but as you say, I want the option to stop paying for it. I see no justification for tax being taken to fund popular entertainment shows that are provided by the private sector.

Madness. We don’t have a state car manufacturer, a state newspaper, or a state supermarket. Why do we need a state broadcaster now we have a vibrant and competitive private sector?
