I can’t tell you how thankful I am that you are tackling this important story. As a proud grandchild of Italian immigrants who has delved into the treatment of these immigrants, these stories have so much resonance for the events of today.

After a shooting, I always think about the parents of the children shot in Sandy Hook, Parkland, and all the other tragedies. They must be affected as well. It’s heartbreaking over and over.

Such a strange phenomenon. Irish and Italian immigrants were not considered white (look up which ethnic group was the victim of the largest mass lynching in US history), but their descendants have somehow forgotten their history.
