Another favourite Canadian yarn is Nunavut Qiviut! Their qiviut and Arctic fox yarns are stunning and have the most incredible halo. They also make incredibly warm knits. My Luna headband is made out of it, a regular winter wardrobe accessory.

One of my all time favourite yarns is from Briggs and Little! They have the oldest wool mill in Canada, located in New Brunswick (where I went to university). This is their sport weight dyed up in Citron by Lichen and Lace.
Would love to hear 🇨🇦 yarn suggestions!

Processing qiviut. Is a process. Pulling out the guard hairs isn't too difficult, but sorting out the other layers of fibre is definitely tricky. My partner hunted a muskox a few years ago and I'm finally getting around to learning how to separate the usable fibres.

Home sick but at least it's cozy. We're back to regular temperatures in Yellowknife for January (-38°C but feels like -46°C with the windchill) so I have no problem staying indoors drinking tea and resting, and periodically working on a sweater.

New Bluesky fiber peeps, welcome! Here are some get-started tips so you can feel more at home here:

1. Add the yarn ball emoji to your posts to get picked up in the "Crochet and Knitting" and "Craftiverse" feeds

Picture perfect weekend.
So I never had Twitter, and this format is pretty new to me. Any suggestions on making it work effectively? Hashtags? How to find other knitters?

Mixed feelings about -2°C in Yellowknife in January. Beautiful x-country skiing and light weight knits are perfect. But this is not normal weather by any means.
