I really appreciate the constant cat content here on Bluesky. My beloved Mushu passed away a year and a half ago and I miss him so very much. Seeing your kitties reminds me of all of the things I loved about him. ❤️😭

I’m almost finished with this crochet afghan. I’d like to add a nice border to it but haven’t been able to come up with anything interesting. The border would be the same colors as the body and I would like something that I can do about 3-5 times around the afghan. Do you have a fave border? 🧶🧶🧶

If there’s one thing I’m going to rescue at an estate sale, it’s paintings of birds and Christmas tree ornaments that are birds.

If you’re looking for a delicious and addictive pull apart bread recipe, try this bacon and scallion milk bread from Woks of Life. It’s a winner for us and I can think of so many different flavor varieties I would try.

Made it to the orchard today and now these lovelies are taking a bath. Crispin and either Nittany or Stayman. I cannot remember which I decided on.

Did I ever show you my finished Sockhead Hat in the Stardew Valley colorway? The bfl/silk yarn is so luxurious and beautiful to use. I have a limited quantity of those skeins left but you can order it dyed on a yarn of your choice as well. www.KimDyesYarn.com

I keep stress baking cookies over here. These rainbow sprinkle cats are just the right vibe for today. I also finished the second of my mitts just in time for chilly morning walks! The colorway is Everybody Scream on Brioche DK and it’s in the shop right now. www.KimDyesYarn.com

To give my new Mochi DK yarn a try out, I made a #korshavncardigan by Strikkekaffe. I feel in love with this cozy design with an enticing basketweave stitch pattern. This sweater flew off of my needles and I will really enjoy wearing it this fall! Links for yarn and pattern in comments!

Spent the evening last night making a fig, olive & rosemary focaccia while watching The Night Of, which is a really amazing mini series on HBO. John Turturro and Riz Ahmed are phenomenal.

Everybody Scream is a perfect colorway for the Autumn season and...well...every morning when we wake up and read the headlines. Here it is knit up into a Point Edwards Mitt (pattern by Fairlight Fibers). I like this pattern because they are snug on my hand. (Pattern link & yarn link in comments.) 🧶🧶

P.S. Here's a few glamour shots of Mochi while I was making a sweater with it. See how beautifully fuzzy it is? But it does not shed the way a mohair may! The cotton core just makes the color glow. It's not fragile and will not rip while you are working with it, too. The stitches are beautiful. 🧶🧶🧶

Meet Mochi Dk! This is a brand new yarn that I first shared at the trunk show this past weekend. It was very popular and I am so pleased at how it was received. Mochi is an air blown yarn with a cotton chainette core with soft and light alpaca fibers blown into it. I loved working with this yarn!

It’s a beautiful morning to explore Kansas City! This community bookshelf in downtown is so pretty. I’m having breakfast at Mildred’s and then I’m going to peek at your library.

A new yarn! Meet Mochi DK which is a gorgeous yarn that I really love. It has a cotton cable knit core and beautiful soft alpaca fibers blown into it to give a halo of fuzz and color. The yarn is amazingly lightweight and soft and knits up beautifully. AND--NO SHEDDING. Incredible. 🧶🧶🧶
