I confess, I gave up on M&C ~1/3 of the way into Book 2; it was just too campy/bombastic. Bummed, bc I really liked both Sharpe’s & Last Kingdom. That said, I think they did use the phrase in Book 1, and almost certainly in Sharpe’s Trafalgar.

*My attempts to make challenging food puzzles for the museum’s raven were, ummm, pretty humbling. 🤦♀️

They’re amazing! And that vid answered a question I had last night, but was too tired to look up: whether/how they processed sound.
Back in the day, we used to low-key mock the enrichment specialists (who sometimes earned it). But it really is a fascinating field.
