Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it is the other way around. The SELECT device is the one with the new completely-bogus-OS and the non-SELECT device is the original with the not-really-Android OS.
You can tell from the picture because the new device is WiFi 5 and the older 4K device is WiFi 6.

Got another cutsie email from them today that said I would be able to log in using my email address and they were closing my ticket. Of course, I still could not log in and still cannot get a reset verification code. I did get two expired verification codes from previous attempts.

I've yet to receive a verification code on several attempts to do a password reset. Also, I had a username rather than an email address which may be contributing to my difficulties.

'DVR" or on-demand. If the DVR, you can FF through commercials. If on-demand, there are usually un-skippable commercials.
