Does this really surprise you? They have SAID they were going on a war footing, but their hearts have not yet followed. I fear for Europe, and particularly those states closest to danger.

As a past US president once remarked: diplomacy is the art of saying "nice doggy" until one can find a big stick to hit it with. It seems to me that, especially in this case, ambiguity is the wiser course. Closing a door if one doesn't have to can prove advantageous.

Our military is NOT all MAGA. The military members involved were hand-picked to not think about their orders. The VAST majority of the military are loyal to the constitution. Your assertion, IMO. is a smear and entirely undeserved

Not to be contrary, but I don't think those folks were paid to be there. I used to live in that area, know the attitudes there, and have to trouble believing they were drawn there if only for the entertainment value.

My mind would be much more at peace if Ukraine had a continuous supply of arms and necessary supplies and didn't need to worry about where the next pulse of these things were coming from and when

THE US is proposing suicide for Ukraine and its people. The US isn't honoring its "security guarantee" from the LAST "peace deal". Russia has consistently said they regard Ukraine's territory as "theirs". Seems to me you either continue fighting - otherwise you're dead. Remember Bucha (and +)

Security guarantees by the US?! Those last ones aren't working out too well right now, are they? Ukraine gave up serious arms based on those assurances. Those "assurances" aren't worth the paper they're written on. Time to stop believing fairy tales, I think

not to depress you, but about 36% of the voters here solidly support what the current regime is doing. Support was significantly higher not long ago... until the policy changes affected them personally. I'm sure you're familiar with the playbook for government takeovers.

I share your fears... Europe needs to speak with a single voice and act collectively toward a clear, common goal. They are already "late". Putin does not presently see a reason to change course

I thought that was already clear... the US published the NSS (or NNS?) which pretty much makes your wish come true. The question is whether EU/NATO/Europe is ABLE to get behind a plan for their own (and Ukraine's) defense. They do seem to like to deliberate on things
