Neither here nor there
It should work fine for you until someone somewhere finds an vulnerability that let's them infect it with malware
Also companies might stop supporting it for their programs, just like Valve recently stopped Windows 7 support for Steam

Paid support for two more years, sourcing the LTSC version which is supported till 2030 or just switching to Linux, I guess?
December 30, 2025 at 12:17 PM
10 is still supported for the next year (free if you're in EU, maybe non-free otherwise)

That's pretty lazy

Such a pity Valve deemed the sequel and threequel unworthy :(
Also I wish they were available somewhere other than DRM infested Johren

Dude, disable the RTGI, it's costing you at least 100 fps on average

That's exactly what a cat with thumbs would write if they wanted to hide the fact that they have thumbs.
Just food for though

Just curious - do you guys have plans to compile them and release as a proper, non-web game?
Given Level 5 unwilingness to port old Laytons to PC/curgen consoles, I think there's an untapped market for games like these - I mean, how many times can one replay Puzzle Agent?

John, you've been feeling burned out *because* you've been crunching for a long period of time.
Its a negative feedback loop, plain and simple. After a certain amount of time of work hours your productivity plummets, so you need more time to do worse work, so your productivity plummets, so...

Yes and I couldn't imagine doing otherwise. Mandatory overtime should never be excused and mandatory overtime in the amount gaming companies enforce is just criminal - breaks up families, makes people significantly less productive and is overall just extremely shitty.

One could argue that Tetris (1984) was an indie game

Friendly reminder those aren't sweat resistant and as such shouldn't be used by humans

No, you're wrong
The memory hasn't tripled in price.
It has quadrupled

I have 4 TB Sata ssds in my system, guess I'm set for life (and my children can live off profits of selling them when I kick the bucket)

Marry her post haste, sure sounds like a keeper
December 14, 2025 at 1:12 PM
The DLC situation is beyond pale, especially if you want to switch to 2 and 3
December 14, 2025 at 12:19 PM
Always online with a shitty monetization model?

Elementary was so much better than the BBC Sherlock it's not even funny
But the best Sherlock adaptation to TV is obviously Psych

Do we know if Kobayashi/Nakanishi/Okubo are back to do the score?
December 12, 2025 at 9:30 AM
Silly Civvie11 saying Blood would only sell on PC
December 11, 2025 at 2:58 PM
I ask, because the ebook has been available to purchase on US Amazon store (.com, but also the .co.uk one) for the past few months, but nothing on Kobo and actual real book stores.
Maybe it's just Amazon weirdness due to me having an EU deliver address saved as a backup one) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You're 273% (at least) smarter than me
December 10, 2025 at 2:02 PM
Any particular reason for the delay? (if you're not NDAed, obviously)
December 10, 2025 at 11:53 AM
That's because it uses the Windows Update code path for downloading stuff and that's deliberately capped to not make your PC slow down while downloading updates
