The main upside of being a recovering shopaholic is that I see my hoarder mother choose stuff over us time and time again and it just makes me get rid of more and more stuff whereas before I might have panicked and bought things. So that’s progress.

It’s crazy that in 2025 it’s now punk to watch PBS. Also idk if you’ve been noticing but they are being very wild with their anti-fascist programming right now. I’ve been really tuned in since November and they’ve been vocal. Support PBS.

I hate the part of cleaning and organizing where everything is a mess. I want to skip that and just have everything be clean.

So I am cleaning and decluttering like a fiend again and it’s occurred to me that I do this whenever there is a disaster like a fire or a hurricane. Obvs this isn’t a huge problem because it’s stuff I need to do but clearly I can’t control my anxiety at all.

Sometimes I think about the Disney Princess cassette tape I listened to every day when I was 8. One day it went missing. I was TIL when I realized it was probably a family member saving themselves from hearing me scream colours of the wind.

So I wasn’t gonna buy any new books and was just gonna read my TBR Cart but one of the books on there was the first in a series and now I am going to go buy the next two because it’s cute. So that’s where I’m at mentally today.

I love being a “they’ll explain it to me if I need to know” reader because I get to experience the absolute shock when the book reveals the parentage of characters. Like of course he’s secretly the kings child!! And I had no idea. Love this journey for me.

Watching Shazam because tv chose for me. I know Rachel Zegler got a lot of hate for it failing but have we entertained the thought that the story concept is actually really bad and weird?

I miss the way the early Avengers and Marvel movies made me feel. It was a different time but it was hopeful. I miss when movies were new and gave me hope.

Is The Pitt graphic? Yes. I have seen so much today. However, it also stars Hotter Chris Pine and that was a surprise gift to me and I think them for it.
