Robber barons using their outsized corporate power to push into a tech bubble at the expense of literally everyone else... Shortly after a major pandemic and with multiple wars going on in geopolitical hotspots showing a rose of authoritarianism...

Where have we seen this before?
Market concentration → Less competition → Higher prices for consumers → Corporate profits at 70-year high → Record stock buybacks → Higher shareholder value → More power for corporations and the rich.

How do we fight back? Break up monopolies and rebuild union power.

Also, if you can't be bothered to fucking put an FAQ on a website, you aren't a thing worth using. I don't want to have to join your fucking discord to solve the issues created by your shitty UX design.

I stared too long into the abyss, and the abyss was like, "you looking at my hole, daddy? you like looking into my gaping hole? you want in this hole so bad, don't you?"

Millions of workers are toiling away from their families over the holidays. So thank the workers who serve you. Appreciate the workers who care for you. Respect the workers who pick up your trash. Salute the workers who get you your mail. Pay all workers a living wage.

I do not understand how Microsoft can get away with making Windows worse every single day without getting fucking murdered.

We live in the stupidest part of human history. We deserve every bad thing that happens to us because we're too fucking stupid to change it.

Have you ever met anyone who drives a brand new pickup truck who isn't an entitled douchebag?

Every single one of these mega women that I called techbro companies is named after a villain from fiction and yet somehow some people still think these guys are good.

"Satan Puppy-Killer, LLC is a great company. I'm sure they have only good intentions behind putting smart cameras in bathrooms!"

My heart rate is up to 89bpm just laying in bed at 20 minutes till 2 am... In case it wasn't already obvious that I'm going hypomanic.

Increase in productivity since 1979: 87%

Increase in hourly pay since 1979: 32%

Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%.

As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.

Also, why am I still wide awake. It is after 1:00 AM. This is a bipolar warning sign.

Don't get me wrong. I **want** BlueSky to be good because we need a decentralized social media network. But wanting something to be true and it being true or very different things .

Blue sky is owned by a for-profit organization and is incentivized to enshitify the UX for profit like all tech.

I am bound and determined to figure out how to get a decent user experience from this app even though shitty UX seems to be part of its core design philosophy.

Dear Adobe,

The reason people use PDF-- you know, that portable document format you invented-- is because they are lightweight and don't take much systems resources .

When the garbage AI you shove into your reader is so bloated that it literally impact system performance, you've lost the point.

I have a really hard time understanding why anyone uses this app. Sure, there are less Nazis and AI slop, but that's because there's less everything.

The user experience is absolute garbage and the discoverability engine is entirely reliant on third-party plugins.

I know most people think of manic episodes as being hepped up on goofballs, but sometimes it's just deciding to get up at 3:00 am to shave your mustache off so you have a Lincoln beard.

Open AI is working on putting ads in Chat GPT. If AI was an actual trillion dollar industry instead of a bubble, they wouldn't need to put ads in it to turn a profit.

This year, as you are picking your holiday entertainment, remember that Tim Allen is a convicted Coke mule who's conservative ideology directly conflicts with the inherently anti-capitalism message behind the Santa Clause movies.

And that's funny to me.

The idea that CEOs know something you don't and this deserve to be paid all the money is just capitalism's version of feudalism's "Divine Right of Kings."

Spotify is pissed their library got scraped by someone who isn't planning on using it to ruin music with AI.
