its really wild seeing old rants of mine where I was clearly pushed over the limit and wanted to do something about it but I ended up giving up and reflecting and seeing that that happened so many times but every time I just kept lowering the bar for myself until horrible became normal

It's not right that people who merely have a medical degree and an opinion should have arbitrary access to personal medical data of trans patients without having to show to those patients that they are conducting research in good faith.

It's right that trans people should be able to refuse to be subjects in research being conducted with an aim of reducing their options in life, reducing their comfort and wellbeing.

Traditionally it's been considered important to get research consent from research subjects in medicine because if you can bypass subject consent you can conduct research that's not in their best interests. Which is precisely the problem everyone's been raising about it.
