I've been yapping alot, but *please* don't give into the learned helplessness of 'AI is everywhere, there's no point in posting because somebody can just save it and run it through AI anyway'—ignoring the fact that it's irrelevent, it's only going to put you into a depressive slump.

For further context twitter added a button that allows users to generate ai images using existing art posts from artists. It removes glaze and it basically reskins the artwork by using the existing work as a base. Twitter is no longer a safe space for art

This is me venting, but I'm gonna say it anyway—this mentality that artists are just jealous gods withholding some innate talent away from the masses, and that AI is a Promethean flame cast onto them is probably the most frustrating part of this discourse aside from corporate shenanigans up top.

I will however wistfully imagine how much bank *I'd* be rolling in if I had the capital and the drive to create a proper working website for artists of all walks to post freely without fear of big corpos looking to make a quick buck at the expense of the human spirit-

I'm not gonna complain about the new edit image feature on twitter because plenty more articulate folks have said all that needs saying about it. Life goes on, the urge to create continues, and I'll even get a free blocklist along the way when the inevitable "fixed your art :P" troll post pops up.
