Just checked. Two passes marginally backwards, but more to the side in space for the receiver to move forward onto. One actually backwards. But I have no idea why that is an issue?? The entire point of passing football is to move the opposition around. I don;t want a build up that goes Grav > Salah

Yep, but we know that a player in the 6 area (He's not playing as a straight 6) should be often just getting it down, shifting it, keeping and rotating possession. That's classic 6 behaviour. Especially in a possession side! Did Makelele play a single progressive pass his entire career?

I don't see one objectively wrong passing decision in that video, and only one 'bad' pass towards the end when is trying a Hendo loop/cross into the box and overhits it.

Grav had his worst game for us against Galatasaray. I don't think he has a halo. I just know ball and am impervious to bullshit!
