I don't have anything super expensive, but the one that gets noticed the most is a cheap Timex Expedition I have on a NATO strap. Second would be a crappy Casio I bought at walmart.

The value is with the wearer alone. If they feel good wearing it then the cost is worth it.
Like if this guy wanted to look wealthy he would probably be buying fakes of Patek Philippe, Richard Mille, et al. Hell, my HVAC guy wears a Rolex it was a gift from his wife.

In general you mean? That's not really a thing that happens. Usually. Why buy an expensive house that can easily burn down when you can just rent an apartment?

What's interesting is he's buying replicas of watches that aren't really that expensive. A Rolex sub is $10k, that's brake rotors for a luxury coupe. I wear a tag aquaracer and I don't even make six figures.
