Basically the money is paid to either terminate or modify a prior *contract*.
Terminating it is obviously more pro-player, as they can then properly negotiate w/ the new team, but even when it’s just modifying it to have a new guarantor it’s still basically the same thing as/no worse than a trade.

This has long been my stance, ever since ~2019 when the depth of her TERFism became clear. Consider also the gap between when she wrote the books vs when she became openly transphobic; TERF is a unique bigotry *because* it has an implied turning point when the transphobia broke the prior liberalism

And one of those was Dawson Knox, who it turns out is definitely not a pro-bowl level contributor and just had the one decent year. And he only made the one as an alternate because Kelce was in the Super Bowl!
