As a professional baker, I can tell you Kitchenaid mixers are overrated. This is how you do it! Looking forward to the new book in 2026. Thanks for your posts!

I love Brewella’s. Unique seasonal menu. Staff is wonderful, & they seem to really enjoy working there. Excited that they‘re expanding in the new year.

B & N Comics/Tomorrow’s Heroes in Lakewood, during the ‘80’s. I can still recall phoning their answering machine & listening to them reading all the titles out each week. Later, I switched to Carol & John’s Comic Shop at Kamm’s Corners. They’re still around, & I’m still a customer.

For me, I started collecting Garbage Pail Kids, then baseball cards, then coins. I also golfed a lot. My hobbies as a 13 year-old were the same as an old man. What will I do when I’m old?

Dr. Kendzior’s Substack is free. If you took the time to actually visit her site, you would see that. If you want to be taken seriously, informed opinions > uninformed opinions.

Why was Sarah Kendzior’s account suspended yesterday without explanation? She mentioned it in her free SubStack, and others I follow on here are speaking up About it.

Thanks for sharing some history! I frequently think about the line “trapped in a world he never made”... I later learned it was a quote from the A.E. Housman poem, “The Laws of God, the Laws of Man”.

My 3 year old son is also a ketchup fiend. He especially loves dipping pickles into it. But that’s because his father (also a ketchup fiend) does this. It’s a fun age to let them explore new flavors.

What a courageous effort that has paid off.

For some reason, it’s customary to watch the short film version of this while I (attempt to) trim my toddler’s fingernails. It’s impossible because he flails his arms like Grover every 30 seconds.

For what it’s worth, I follow you here. I don’t use Facebook, X, or TikTok, and I rarely use Instagram. I learned of your next book here, and will definitely be picking it up when it’s published—at Mac’s, of course. (And thanks for all your worthwhile posts.)

We love this restaurant! It’s like a piece of Little Italy, but on the West Side. The amount of spaghetti marinara my toddler can consume there is almost alarming. Friendly staff, & the eggplant Parmesan is delicious.

I really enjoyed Abadazad! My toddler is still a little young, but I’m really looking forward to reading the series with him.

I’m remembering my mom’s pack of Marlboro Lights that was tucked into the side pouch of the yellow leather recliner.

It’s summertime, so I added some local raw honey to my spelt & rye loaves. Thanks for the assist, Cleveland, Ohio bees! And thank you for your superb posts about naturally fermented breads.

Thanks for the reminder! This is definitely on my reading list. Sometimes, you *can* judge a book by its cover! And I’m looking forward to seeing Mr. Leonardi’s artwork on the interior— I’ve been a fan since his Spidey 2099 work.

A tantalizing glimpse! Thanks for posting. I, a former film projectionist, am really looking forward to reading this on my porch this summer.
