I have to deal with AI in my profession because salespeople from these AI companies have already convinced other companies that compete with my employer that it’s better to gamble on this “innovation” then be left behind IF it succeeds.

Even if the kidnapping of people off the streets ends and ICE is reigned in there will never be trials that punish these goons. They’ll be walking around, living their life and their names will most likely not be revealed.

Often when I think about the terrible circumstances we find ourselves in I say “well, we are finally getting our share of the shit in this world.”
Deserved? Not for very many people and the ones that do deserve it will never catch a whiff.

I wasn’t aware that politicians and pundits are making Medicaid it sound like they you a check. You have to go to the hospital or doctor.
It’s part obfuscation to play on people’s prejudices of low income households.

After 2001 when the US government elevated environmental activist to terrorists there was a very obvious drop in the victories achieve during the 1990s. Now with the incoming president we’ll probably see any activism in the general “equality” spectrum labeled as terrorism.

I feel so bad for my friends and people all over that are facing complete uncertainty about their future. Just trying to live like anybody else. I’m too well versed in history to not fear the absolute worst.

I have nothing original to say about the protests and the horrible reasons for the protests. The bloodlust over the past 8(!) is appalling. The absolute disrespect for human life is staggering. The fear and hatred in these cowards attacking students is pathetic. We’re in for worse.

Goofs in oversized trucks hurriedly trying to get to the new fancy “country” brunch spot pulling directly in front of me as I walk on the sidewalk. I had to step back to avoid being hit. Nashville sucks for much worse things than this but you can’t walk any-goddamn-where and I walk everywhere.
