My sister was diagnosed with bowel cancer and operated on within a month. Totally free at the point of service.
If only the USA was like that. I pay $1000 per month for health coverage for me and my wife, and I hope that if I get a serious illness, it kills me quickly and cheaply.

There is no Snap funding at the moment. So it's irrelevant - snap does not exist. stores can give discounts to whosoever they like.

I'm sure the original intent was to make sure SNAP recipients were not charged more; discounts were probably not considered by the original authors.
