It *isnt*. That’s the other problem. The bookkeeping that shows losses is because it’s forced by law to pre-fund lifetime pensions for every employee *plus* some abstract number tha haven’t even been hired yet. It’s a made up accounting scheme GOP forced on them to make them look unprofitable.

My wife’s standard metric is 20%, 30% for highly publicized issues. No matter how bipartisan and obviously good the subject (“declaring city-wide waffles are good day!”), guarantee at least 20% vote against it because being contrarian jerks is their entire personality.

Oh yes, although to some doctors credit, the surgeon was giving the anesthesiologist a death stare and even mouthed “what are you doing!?” While he was chasing dosages. C section #2 was a whole different hospital and we had a great consult pre-surgery that accounted for her past complications.

God my wife went through that but not for two hours. Terrible reaction to the anesthesia. Although kid1 was a worse time, since the anaesthesia never took all the way and she felt the entire procedure. The doctors wish I cold punch.

Eeeeeee. The one Dinotopia movie adaptation I’m aware of is cringe start to finish. Gurney’s true originals are full of wonder - the spinoffs are hollow. Dancing in the bones of a ruined palace and pretending to be princelings.

Californians voted for a high speed trail corridor and authorized a massive bond measure to fund it 17 years ago. The planned completion date, which no one believes anymore, is 2050. I will be on social security and my kids middle aged before they open a thing I voted for in college.

Some of us are just fine thanks, but I agree the white people who raised me are … not fighting for anybody these days, despite what they said I was supposed to value.
