If my progress on Advent of Code this year is any indication I imagine once I retire I will basically complete one years AoC around the time the next years starts.

It’s a quiet Saturday which means I have time to get caught up on Advent Of Code and I can build wildly over engineered solutions that I will then promptly throw away after solving the puzzle. What can I say. I am not in this to win, I am in this to write code. 😀

Digging Advent Of Code this year but for some reason day 4 took me forever and I still haven’t finished part 2. Real life is getting in the way of fun.

I like squirrels. I 3D printed this one and then gilded the print to make it shiny. The next goal is to electroplate the prints. That is taking much longer than hoped. Mostly because real life impinging on squirrel time.

It is a shame that Oracle seems determined to destroy any goodwill that Java had. I feel at a loss as to what to use as a replacement. Python can’t match it for Performance, C# puts you in bed with Microsoft and Go puts you in bed with Google.
