some misc thoughts:
- I played the shit out of the ds castlevanias and the music put me in the right mood to do a little grinding
- it's silly but I laughed at the ladder speed + sound effect

awesome I loved it!!! some misc thoughts: - I played the shit out of the ds castlevanias and the music put me in the right mood to do a little grinding - it's silly but I laughed at the ladder speed + sound effect - I struggled with the high jump input until after I beat the game and read the notes that explained that it was 2 rapid up presses, I think I kept doing simultaneous up + w. But it made the final dungeon maze very challenging (in a good way) that each high jump would have a "chance" to not work... - never figured out what the secret numbers were about, I saw 2 faded grids. It would be really funny to me if it meant absolutely nothing so don't tell me :) - i'm inspired to put some funny tricks in my next game if I ever get back to gamedev, I laughed hard at the exploding maiden and enjoyed the magic glass potion cliff event - The movement felt so "awkward" at first but by the end I felt really capable of dodging the enemy swarms - favorite npc dialogs: "I don't have any more tips", "You feel it may have been carved before key config options were added", the various escape-failure messages (like "tripped over a flat screen tv"). Of course all the messages were enjoyable to read, I think there was a good mix of funny, serious, ominous, cute, informative, or other kinds of messages - I almost wish the items weren't as easy to grab since it was scary/funny when the enemies got them - I never made use of the "press react to end your turn" mechanic, it never seemed like what I wanted to do to me - I did like the single save spot, made it interesting to decide when to turn around and try and make it back with my xp and items. Reaching the big ladder and zooming out of the slime zone was a big relief - "Kitten Restored" was pretty funny - ok that's all I can think of. Thanks for making this and all your other games and I hope you feel less depression in the future :)
