An economist fighting conservative and right wing misinterpretations of economic theory. Why? Because bad economics generates confusion and conflict. USA. 💙 https://hanselkrankepantzen.blogspot.com

I know I discussed it relatively recently, but I feel I should say a few more words more about the rhetoric of so-called “social welfare functions,” mostly because so many dismiss the baleful effects of bad economics in the conservative style by waving their hands at it. (20) #EconSky #ethics

It’s remarkable to see the psychic effects of the loss of complacency, indifference in the USA as conservative, Republican fascism begins to tighten its grip. It’s going to be a long and difficult fight. Have a drink, medicate, go for a walk, just buck the hell up. It’s no time to fall to pieces.

Oh, now I see. You are at death’s door, as far as democracy, the US Constitution, the rule of law, the future of the USA as a stable, peaceful, prosperous nation. Well, maybe literally, as well. But I don’t want to bring anyone down who can’t bear to contemplate it, so … goodbye. Carry on.

I don't think it's the energy, tension, danger, or degree of unusualness of the protests that's important to conservative, Republican voters and their Leader, Lord Dampnut. It's the point of view being expressed. Conservatives, Republicans hate free speech, free thought. They're fascists.
krankepantzen.bsky.social
Speaking of stock market declines and economic downturns looming on the horizon, people do know the typical fascist response to economic downturns is to start a war, right? Government spending, but not for woke, welfare state, leftist goals like the welfare of the people? But where? Hmm.
krankepantzen.bsky.social
Innuendos? And there I was afraid I was getting carried away with my trusty 2x4. Comical.
krankepantzen.bsky.social
Am I correct in supposing conservative, Republican voters are still professing to believe Lord Dampnut's military moves against US cities are meant to address "illegal immigration," despite all the evidence they're accosting and kidnapping random people regardless of immigration status?
krankepantzen.bsky.social
Thank you Ivan, that was truly illuminating. And can you tell me how much I'll need to pay for a bottle of vodka these days? Because after all that I think I need a drink. Badly.

"We're ... fighting fascism ... by opposing democracy ... and attacking neighboring nations ... and fighting worldwide homosexuality ... and supporting authoritarian government by establishment elites ... just all that ... and Republicans in the USA are helping us ... and I'd like to move to Texas."
krankepantzen.bsky.social
I'm not sure I get it. So the two conservatives, Republicans are meant to not also be pedophiles themselves? But they're OK with pedophiles if they're from the establishment elite, which they consider "their" pedophiles? Yeah, OK. I guess that makes sense also. Funny.

Basically, they sounded pretty much as one might expect people to sound living in a nation that was formerly communist and famous for fighting fascism who then became fascists themselves, led by a bellicose, nationalistic, anti-democracy authoritarian focused on property, economic power, markets.
krankepantzen.bsky.social
It's not just Trump's invasion. It's a fascist invasion backed by millions of conservative, Republicans voters in rural hamlets and small towns across the USA but especially in the central and southern regions.

One young Russian fellow castigated the USA for fomenting worldwide homosexuality. When his female friend objected and suggested there were gay people in Russia as well, the fellow objected strongly. "There is no gay in Russia!" Sounded very Republican.
krankepantzen.bsky.social
I really do think the average Russian today has much more in common with conservative, Republican Americans, than do pro-democracy liberals, progressives, Democrats. I think US conservatives, Republicans really would do quite well to move to Russia as soon as possible.
krankepantzen.bsky.social
I also noted one young lady who particularly lauded anti-democracy fascist Mr. Musk as a "great inventor" who was helping Russia in its fight against fascism in Ukraine and Nato and the West, in general. Remarkable. One can only surmise they do not have an entirely free press in Russia.
krankepantzen.bsky.social
I watched one of those person-in-the-street videos from Russia and it really brought home the close connection between right wing political rhetoric in Russia and the USA. Many of those interviewed professed to think Mr. Putin and Russia, working closely with Lord Dampnut, were fighting "fascism."
krankepantzen.bsky.social
If anyone can get away with illegally stiffing federal workers on their backpay during a government shutdown, it would be crooked and failed businessman, The Bankruptcy King, Lord Dampnut himself. Not saying he can get away with it. But if ever anyone ever could, it would surely be him.
krankepantzen.bsky.social
Fascists see leftists, socialists, communists, Marxists everywhere, but comically many of those people don't even realize they're that, suppose themselves just citizens of a democracy expressing their normative views like anyone else
krankepantzen.bsky.social
Lord Dampnut explains when they, he and his conservative, Republican supporters, "took the freedom of speech away?" Because it "agitates and irritates crowds?" So ... they're saying my account may disappear one day, if ever I get enough readers to be called a "crowd?"
krankepantzen.bsky.social
When the all but inevitable Republican economic recession / depression hits, if I don't see conservative, Republican voters out there in the streets celebrating it, as implied by their free market utopian values, I will be very disappointed indeed. They need to enjoy the good times.
krankepantzen.bsky.social
The thing about conservatives and their anti-democracy, anti-US Constitution, anti-rule of law, racist, nativist, misogynistic, and bigoted values, is that they really stand in opposition to the traditional values and mores of the USA. They should really go somewhere else where they can be happy.
krankepantzen.bsky.social
My goodness, the egoism and hubris of conservatives knows no bounds, does it? I would suggest their peculiar thinking about what makes one a real American will indicate to all real Americans conservatives aren't that, not by a long shot. Some sort of comically inapt European blood and soil thing?
krankepantzen.bsky.social
So legal precedent is not really a thing in fascist jurisprudence, then? Just one's own inner right wing feelings and values, and maybe cash or in-kind payment of one sort or another? Thanks a lot conservative, Republican voters: you corrupted the Supreme Court as well as the WH, Congress.
krankepantzen.bsky.social
"Trump promised." I'm sure no conservative, Republican voter took Lord Dampnut seriously when he said that. They knew he was just joking to annoy liberals, who try always to keep things real. They knew he would increase health care costs and they're fine with it, they love it, if it helps fascism.
krankepantzen.bsky.social
Why do conservatives, Republicans have such low personal characters? Why do they lie, cheat, steal? Why are they so immoral, unethical? Why can't they ever just stand up like a normal human being and talk normally, do normal human things? It's remarkable.
krankepantzen.bsky.social
Reminds me of that scene in Der Untergang when the Nazi general defending Berlin tries to rouse an exhausted fascist soldier to do whatever it was and the fellow at long last, possibly for the first time, refuses. "I'm not going anywhere." That brief moment of lucidity before being shot in the head.
