PhD grad, scientist (biology). '24 was one of the worst years in biotech since early 2000s, I couldn't find a job. Trump's policies are now crushing my industry. Not only are my industry prospects worse, I can't even go back to academia to postdoc b/c of his attacks on biomedical research.

Clinical trials for new medicines going to market need to be completed or ongoing before going through the review process I mentioned.
So, saying new therapies go to clinical trials faster because of accelerated approvals is misleading.
