VM is short for virtual machine, a universal name
I personally recommend QEMU it’s really decent and allows gpu passthrough iirc

What are your computer specs, if you don’t mind? If you have 6+ cores, 16+GBs of ram and enough storage space, you should be able to allocate enough resources to the virtual machine, some even have direct gpu passthrough so you don’t have a giant graphics penalty

Most video games work on linux tho, also you can just set a small virtual machine within linux to run photoshop
