Robert Jenrick unlawfully approved a project to save Richard Desmond £45m in taxes. Desmond owned the Daily Express while it was spewing out a torrent of Brexit hate and lies. The whole thing stinks of a reward for services rendered.

He is in favour of a hard Brexit.

I don’t understand why that is but this is not going to change.

He has nailed his colours to the Brexit mast and will go down with the Brexit ship like the Tory PMs before him.

Many benefits for those that chose to engage.

The UK chose to obstruct for years and then leave in a hissy fit burning down all bridges when doing so.

That was probably not very smart. At least the EU managed to ring fence Brexit and make it a UK problem only…which is fair as the EU had…

The EU helps all MSs. That doesn’t mean that the MSs doesn’t have to make an effort too but if they do the EU will help them transform.

Not all EU MSs have been sufficiently grateful but that is another story.

Finally those flaunting our rules for years, living without residency and not paying taxes, will get caught…eventually.

Indeed. The rules haven’t changed only the chance of getting caught.

In countries like Spain it was actually illegal for Brits (and everyone else) to stay more than 90 days even when the UK was still an EU member unless you got residency. Many didn’t want that because they didn’t want to pay taxes
