This community needs cleaning up, rebuilding of trust, and a reminder of what art truly means.

- Does the artist's products & TOS appear to not be professional & doesn't share full transparency? 🚩🚩It makes you wonder what they are hiding. And who is benefiting more from the transaction. If you are already anxious before purchasing, it's time to back out. Genuine artists value their community.

- Is your artist presenting a list of excuses for missed/unfinished work/updates? 🚩🚩 Everyone has something going on. You as a client, are not responsible for your artist's time management or their emotions. Professional is key for genuine businesses.

- Is the artist lacking comm or wip/progress updates? 🚩🚩 If u notice this, it's time to press a little harder. If the artist is a scammer, they will be more adamant on $, thus they may be more likely to respond hearing the big bills. Test it if comm & requests aren't working.

- Does the artist ask for a strange/odd alt. payment method? 🚩🚩🚩 Trust your gut. Stick to paying through middle mans like Artistree or VGen, they offer buyer protection. PayPal works but never use family & friends, and DEFINITELY keep a paper trail.

- Analyze their artwork; do you see artifacting, nonsense pixels/brush strokes, mismatched/overuse of color, linework bleeding/disappearing, missing core elements of the piece? 🚩🚩🚩 Artists can make mistakes. But when you stare at a piece forever, you tend to not make major mistakes.
