ONE DAY LEFT OF MY HOLIDAY, and so to banish the end-of-holiday blues, here are some Eurovision national finals that if you were too young when they were broadcast are definitely worth a look. A lot depends on what is online, but they are finals that I enjoyed at the time and still remember today!

Såg just att Ultra Bra (favvo finskt band) körde Shanghain valot (favvo finskt mellolåt) på en festival idag. Samma låtskrivare men inte deras låt. Jag kommer DÖ av lycka om de också kör den på sin spelning på Olympiastadion i augusti. DÖ, i tell ya 😍😍😍😍😍

Ok, I was today years old when i discovered that Shuki Levy of Shuky & Aviva German final 1975-fame, basically wrote all the big children’s tv themes of the 80’s? He-man, She-ra, Ulysses, Cities of Gold, Inspector Gadget!!?? 🤯🤯🤯🤯

Alltid avundsjuk på de fina dräkter som folk kan ha på sig på nationaldagen. Vi har inget sånt i England. Det närmaste man kommer är väl det som ”Morris dancers” har på sig, folkdansare, men de är fan inte lika snygga. Och typ vanliga byxor och skjorta ändå? Och inte vill man gå med bjällror.

Finally getting back to reality after a fabulous week in Basel. After the stressful week in Malmö it was back to being fun again. Great weather. Lovely town. (Mostly) great Euroclub. Not my winner, but it never is! 😂 #eurovision

I don’t think I’ve ever felt as little buzz about ESC rehearsals starting as I have today. Basically no coverage. Three pictures per act. Being released tomorrow. 😂😂🤯🤯

Very weird decision by the EBU to scrap the post-semifinal press conferences. Bit by bit press access is being restricted. First the individual press conferences for each country, now this. Sure, protect artists, but without media coverage and interviews they lose half the point of them competing.
