Read The Hobbit at 13. Thought it was awful. Never read anything else. Partner used to read LOTR to our kids, so heard some. More awful. Kids made me go with them to see the films. Longest hours of my life. Woeful. Sorry to be negative but really don't get why anyone thinks they're good.
