And my gran buys me this for Christmas thinking it’s Lego

(stares out of office window at the plastic-sheeted scaffolding opposite) sigh . . . Have fun!

Scarborough was my favourite holiday destination when I was a kid, so I have to like this guy!

I like the look of Vampire Snail! I used to write music zines when I was younger, it's always great to see people still wanting to create something physical you can pick up and read

Oh dear, the vagaries of living in a completely different timezone mean I miss out again! One day, one day . . . .

It’s spooky isn’t it? I went to the mastering of our first 2 albums cos I was interested to see what the guy did, and he was just “ok let’s boost this, and roll off this, and de-click this, and normalise this” and suddenly it didn’t sound like it was recorded in a bedroom by amateurs anymore.

Happy Birthday for tomorrow! I managed to navigate my early 40s by teaching myself not to remember how old I was - I mean, apart from doctors appointments and passport forms, is it really that important to know? Pity my wrinkles never got that memo . . .

Yay, I am floating around in a bubble!

As I spent half of this afternoon tramping through piles of fallen leaves, it's great to see this one too! I'll make sure I tramp more carefully next time, in case of snoozing foxes

As a fellow sci-fi canine and astronomy fan, this touches me deeply - the whole thing is lovely, but the moon shadow on the rings in particular is a great touch

That’s great, it’s like Edward Hopper with dogs

I love harvestmen! How can they even walk with those floppy spindly legs? They’re like spiders designed by someone who thought spiders should look silly rather than scary

I will be taking a day off to celebrate King Kong’s birthday instead

I’ve owned this record for over 20 years and this is the first time I’ve realised Lee Mavers sings “she pulls my train” in it! I’m now not going to be able to listen to this without laughing
