Unfortunately the red one is an invasive species in North America. Invasive species outcompete native species in natural areas, leading to a loss of food for native wildlife.

We watched it again when Dabney Coleman died last year. I was a very young teen when it came out. I’m so glad that I rediscovered it as an adult!

I really liked it. She was a phenomenal writer. It is a hard read, because empathy. I am forever impacted by the characters and the story.
