Like Reddit did blocking IA, because it wants data collection money from AI companies?

There's reasons why respecting robots.txt isn't always a good thing.

Yeah, I know they aren't a friend, lol.

I can't archive articles I like with them

That's the best one there is after archive.is

> Webrecorder
Very expensive.

There's things that I didn't like they did (e.g. sudden Finland block with bonkers reason that lasted like a year), but there hasn't been anything major for years now. There barely is any web arching sites to beginning with.

Seems nothingburger to me, I just think that archive.is just retweeted any mention that they got. Also this is 10 years ago. (And no I'm not pro-gamergate at all, total opposite).

Groupy does this: www.stardock.com/products/gro...

And Microsoft tested this concept on tester build of Win10, but scrapped it and just made tabs for Win11's Explorer.
Groupy 2 enables you to drag and drop application windows together to group them together under a common tabbed interface.

And Finland tried to get rid off it independently, but EU said every EU country has agree it with together. For some reason.

TBF, I linked the source where the screenshot was taken. I noticed that it mentioned 404 media's article after I read it.

And yes, I know more then you think (I'm IT guy and read lot about digital privacy / security)

Reading comprehension?

**I** searched it on Google and linked it (as you can see), so others **DON'T** have to do it.

To 1% that cares, here's the source, so you don't need to type and Google: newrepublic.com/post/201294/...
Very Soon, ICE Will Know Exactly Where You Are All the Time
ICE is planning on buying a tool that will let it see hundreds of millions of phones’ location data.

Can you please link the sources you screenshot sometimes? Thanks.

Relevant: bsky.app/profile/lora...
Please - stop doing the screenshot no link thing on Bluesky. This platform does not punish you for posting a URL. You picked up the habit from Meta apps? Stop doing Mark Z's bidding. Link ESPECIALLY to authors, reporters, bloggers, etc. where you quote the work.

Okay, thanks :)

I somewhat understand how it works, I think :)

But one thing I haven't found answer: is it bad idea do this if you actually own a license? Eg. I have Windows 10 Pro license linked to my Microsoft account.

I try ESU first though, because I'm entitled to free one in EU.

I remember you asking this, answer to your question is really "it depends", but usually I would want security updates no matter what.

Here's way to get 3 extra years of security updates: bsky.app/profile/sock...

I'm not sure yet if it's 100% safe way.
Windows 10 End of Life is in less than 2 weeks!
But you don't have to upgrade to Windows 11!!

This video will show you how to extend the life of Windows 10 by 3 more years via Extended Security Updates program safely, for free.

MS throws you to the wolves, but the wolves will throw you a bone.

Note: this first skeet is about dissatisfaction about the team behind Bsky, but still not wanting to try Mastodon, because of "possible downsides", eg. owner of the server could go rogue.

Well, that was the life back in the old web too. You just have to accept it.

Web 2.0 was a mistake and I wish I realized it way earlier.
October 3, 2025 at 6:39 PM
Do you actually want an ethical social media platform that's not owned by a billionaire?

Then the choice isn't Bluesky, it's Mastodon and the rest of the Fediverse and yes, you will have to adjust to the technical aspects of fedi. There's no other way to do this.
