also that still happens, Call of Duty had the 'first female main character' like 3 years ago and then in the actual game she wasn't the main character

that's the exact kind of dumb thing I mean though. The obsession with putting female playable characters in games back to front designed for the 18-30 male market was dumb and never going to do anything to begin with, so who cares if it did or didn't happen
