for Kant scholars, Karl's first book from 1982 is essential reading. I bought it when it came out in an expanded edition in 2000. In many ways formative for my own understanding of Kant on the mind

this hits hard: Karl Ameriks has died, imo the greatest contemporary Kant scholar. Only last month we emailed about the review of Pippin's book that I had sent to him. First time I met him was at a Hegel conference in Oxford in 2000. His Kant & the Fate of Autonomy was just out #RIP
