Tons of PE chuds made gazillions between 1997 and 2022, when rates were low. It was like a free money machine. With normalized rates? These guys don’t look as smart.

What I will never understand is how so many of these supposed brilliant elites were willing to sacrifice stability for an extra 500 basis point cut on their taxes. I mean, they took the same macro classes I did, had to know the tariffs were madness. Had to know deporting millions......

I still can't believe we won that game. I watched at Riverworks and it wasn't a huge crowd, but big enough. Everyone was going nuts.

I mean, they are definitely hiding something. But my grandfather was a staffer for JFK and he did mention bruising on JFK's hands from handshaking.

I saw him at O’Hare 3 weeks ago, phanlaxed w about 10 people. Looked as big a dooshbag in person as on tv……I was much more excited to see Kyle Guy, a NBA D-Leaguer.

This. They are willing to scuttle US Dollar Reserve status, the Post-WW II international regime and a whole host of other things that benefit the US in exchange for less regulation and an extra 5% off taxes. But it craters the whole system instead.
