Air Riders got like 2 full directs for some reason

Yeah, I'd rather have them put the 3DS versions of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask (with some improvements) like they did with Metroid Prime Remastered rather than dedicate a lot of resources to a full remake.

It's also kind of Sega's fault in not letting players upgrade their Switch 1 versions of Sonic x Shadow for example. Or even P5R from PS4 to PS5.

The calendar system makes it so that you can't just add new quests in the middle of the existing game like with Xenoblade 3's DLCThe whole thing needs to be retoooled to accomodate for the new content.

If it's a separate story like Episode Aigis, the result is more barebones compared to P4G and P5R

Persona 5 Royal introduced my favourite character in the franchise so I'm not one to complain here. I've heard that the SMT V remaster added a lot to the original game and people saying Metaphor had cut dungeons.

So they should keep doing them but have an upgrade path like Switch 2 editions.
