SpongeBob: What if I break your trust someday?

Patrick: Trusting you is my decision, proving me wrong is yours.

Favorite line.
i mean i can't imagine working on new content for it is really helping

like obv i have no experience in the field nor would i know the circumstances of antonblast's development but i feel like if i got burnt out on a project that shipped and kept working on it afterwards i would feel the same way

Kipidon: We Will Always Love You

game about love and spreading it to everyone you can. pretty simple concept but learning routes for higher ranks is difficult and satisfying. soundtrack is top tier; will probably be my favorite of this year by the end. immaculate vibes just in general

Nubby's Number Factory

saw it during steam next fest and its art style instantly got me. visual presentation is incredible and the silly pinball gameplay is super addicting. fun items to combo and get absurdly high scores. still feels like its missing a couple things but i cant tell what

Split Fiction

great concept pulled off nearly perfectly. its rare you see co-op adventure games take advantage of everything they have like this. unfortunately a lot of the cool stuff is either front-loaded or optional, but there's still fun stuff all throughout. story is neat. goty contender

Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii

fantastic. some of the best side content in the series. combat is also extremely fun and solid. story is a little boring but it still made me cry at the end. just incredible stuff all around, rgg has done it once more

Banjo-Kazooie

can't believe it took me this long to actually beat this. personality and charm is off the charts & the worlds feel so alive. suffers from a lot of old school jank and it slogs a bit near the end. cant complain too much tho; fantastic game, especially for its time

Yooka-Laylee

this game is not as bad as some make it out to be but its still rough. level design gets considerably worse as it goes on. moveset is inconsistently sluggish. bosses are doodoo. just feels rushed and unrealized overall. but i really like collectathons so i still had some fun

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair

solid 2d platformer. dkc feel is on point. interacting with the overworld to change the levels is really cool. music is good. game doesn't feel all that different from the rest of the genre, and rare's signature charm isn't all there, but its still great

Pepper Grinder

this game is so weird. really cool idea with gimmicks that complement it well, but it feels so awkward. drilling to close to a wall will halt your momentum and it sucks. game is also a lot shorter than i would've liked. the parts that were good were really good though

Bakeru

this is a cute little 3d platformer. full of a bunch of levels and some fun gimmicks (the mech fights are a huge highlight). base moveset is fun to play with. main problem is that the transformations (the main mechanic) are pretty boring comparatively. fans of the genre should try
